I am glad you mentioned Brady. When he came to West Ham I was only 13 and so it was around the time that I started to go a bit more regularly (just due to my mum worrying about me going football).

I was obviously aware of how good he was from his Arsenal days. When he came to us, physically he was almost at the end, but god could you see what a player he was. I remember some games just watching him and nobody else. His touch and general ball control was mesmerising. And, like most top players, always seemed to have about 10 seconds on the ball longer than everyone else. Great vision and saw the game differently to rest of players.

Just a class player.

Russ, I was thinking about him recently and whether it was just nostalgia thinking back to how good he was but no, his brain worked on another level, a genius footballer. I mentioned Martin Allen because he could one week be trying to cripple someone like Carlton Palmer, then the next score a thirty yard screamer at Highbury. I loved the bloke, his enthusiasm was infectious

Russ - Agree ref Brady, a world class footballer and one of the few Brits who really made it in Italy. Is hugely revered at Arsenal.

I forgot Brooking, ffs, probably the finest player I've seen play for us.
